Yes, brokers are paid a commission, though this will vary by carrier. It is not addressed in the new regulations. As an example, UHC includes a 4.71% service fee which is equivalent to 4.5% commission.

The decision about whether to work with Gas will also vary by carrier. With UHC, the first carrier out the gate with AHPs, they will work with currently contracted GAs except in central Texas and will still pay an override.
